Marine Systems recently developed and produced a Blue Box, commissioned by MicroLAN.
By using the Blue Box from MicroLAN, the microbiological activity in the water is measured. In contrast to the classic measuring methods, this system delivers measurements within one to two hours, while the classic methods takes two or three days.
In this way, early warnings can be given for the quality of, for example, bathing water. The Blue Box is used at a location in Breda to monitor the presence of E.coli bacteria.
